The TRX is a popular exercise peripheral used for suspension training. Suspension training is defined as a body weight exercise that is anchored to a rope, string or chain. With the TRX it`s a nylon material.

Suspension training requires coordination, core, and muscle strength. Beware – most people get excited and try suspension exercises without first learning proper technique. So be careful!
Why:
1. It is cost effective and light weight. To suspension train all you need is a rope, chain, towel or a TRX unit.
2. It will make an old exercise feel new again. i.e. push-ups will feel like a completely new challenge when all of a sudden your hands or feet are suspended. Plus your:
3. Stabilizers will be engaged like never before. Stabilizers add to joint strength, stimulate bone density, prevent injuries, and add to muscle definition.
4. It`s customizable. A small change in hand position, foot position, or anchor position can radically change and add variety to an exercise. This allows you to customize as needed.
5. It can be taken outside. Never again will you be bound to the stuffy and crowded gym again when you can be outside in the sun exercising. Suspension training only requires a strong anchor like a goal post, bench, tree or a really strong and heavy trainer lol.

6. It adds fun! Many people find themselves smiling at their successes and at the same time are amazed at what new challenges their bodies have performed. To me, there’s nothing better than seeing a client challenge themselves during a workout and, all the while, having fun while doing it!
