There are a lot of personal trainers out there, which may have you wondering: why Nielsen Fitness and not one of those other guys?
There are many things that set us apart from the competition, but the most important one has to do with standards. Personal training is an unregulated industry, which means that just about anyone can take a weekend course and call themselves a Certified Personal Trainer. Not good.
There is SO much more to personal training than you might think (or than the old 'meathead' stereotype would lead you to believe). A good trainer will have a strong understanding of injury prevention, biomechanics, and exercise physiology. For us, organizational skills, commitment, punctuality, and a positive outlook and attitude are all must-haves.
All our potential trainers must meet strict ‘on-paper’ requirements, followed by an interview and a practical exam. Only those who prove that they know their stuff inside out and backwards – and who we’d want to welcome into our own homes – will ever make it to your doorstep. That’s our promise to you.
Right now we’re looking for some fantastic new trainers to add to our team. Our criteria is spelled out here – if you feel like you’d be a good candidate, we’d love to hear from you. You can email your resume and cover letter to me (Poul) at firstname.lastname@example.org
And if you’d like to work out with one of the best trainers in the city, we’ve got a free consult with your name on it! Please contact us today, and we’ll set you up.
Poul Nielsen is the owner and operator of Nielsen Fitness, Toronto's leading team of in-home personal trainers. He has 16 years' experience in the fitness industry and has taught courses in Fitness and Lifestyle Management at George Brown College.
In addition to exercise (obviously), he loves spending time with his family, playing the guitar, strong coffee - and dark chocolate!
